Intented Use:

Compass CLEAR PATH ™ Dengue Combo NS1 and IgG/IgM Rapid Test is an immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of Dengue NS1 Antigen and differential detection of Dengue IgG and IgM antibodies in human serum/plasma for professional use.

Test Principal:

Dengue NS1 Antigen Test: The strip test contains a pre-coated membrane strip, which consist a colored conjugate pad containing Chicken IgY conjugated with colloidal gold (Dengue NS1 labelling/conjugation antibody), and a nitrocellulose membrane strip containing one test band “T” and a control band “C”. The “T” band is pre-coated with monoclonal antibody specific to Dengue NS1 coating for the detection of dengue NS1 infection, and the C band is coated with goat anti-Chicken IgY. If Dengue NS1 antigen is present in the specimen, an antigen-antibody-gold conjugate complex is formed and migrates along the membrane by capillary action. The complex is captured by the immobilized anti-dengue NS1 antibodies at the test region, resulting in the appearance of a visible colored line at the test line (T). A visible colored line at the control region (C) confirms that the test has been performed correctly and that the reagents are functioning properly. The control line should always appear regardless of the test result.

Dengue IgG/IgM Antibody Test: Dengue IgG & IgM is a qualitative immunoassay for the detection of Dengue antibodies in human serum or plasma. The nitrocellulose membrane ‘IgG’ line is pre-coated with Dengue IgG Capture & ‘IgM’ line is precoated with Dengue IgM capture at Test region and Control line coated with separate control to assure assay flow and test performance with Goat Anti-chicken IgY Antibody. The recombinant antigen for Dengue IgG & IgM conjugated with colloidal gold particles and control antibodies chicken IgY. When specimen is added in sample well followed by assay buffer which will react with the recombinant antigen and this antigen-antibody complex move upward on the membrane via capillary action. If the specimen contains IgG antibodies to Dengue than color line will appear at pre-coated IgG test region. If the specimen contains IgM antibodies to Dengue than color line will appear at pre-coated Dengue IgM test region. The intensity of the test lines will vary depending upon the amount of antibodies present in the sample. The appearance of colour line in the test region should be considered as positive result. A visible colored line at the control region confirms proper specimen migration, adequate reagent performance, and correct test procedure. The control line must appear for the test result to be considered valid.
